Dr Teresa Schafer is both a lawyer and scientist with more than 16 years experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry in Australia and New Zealand.
Her practice provides strategic legal and regulatory advice to clients in drug registration; clinical research; reimbursement; product supply and distribution; contractual arrangements; promotion and advertising; product safety and pharmacovigilance. She has worked extensively in the industry, both at senior management level and in a consultancy capacity. The value-added advice Teresa provides to clients draws upon her legal, regulatory and scientific expertise, combined with practical commercial knowledge and strong business acumen.
Teresa has been a part-time member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal since August 2006 and reviews decisions of government in the General and Veterans Appeals' Divisions, which includes reviewing decisions of the Therapeutic Goods Administration. She is also a member of the Association of Regulatory & Clinical Scientists and the Association of Therapeutic Goods Consultants.
